Today’s Free Article – A Better Bookcase Design

BK_CVR_8089360 WoodWorking – Free Premiere Issue

This bookcase, built by Hunter Lang provides ample storage for all your media with the addition of two small sections that flank the main bookcase. That provides the perfect place to stash your paper packs, CD & DVDs or small items – they won’t get lost behind or between the large books in the center section. This project uses just one sheet of 3/4″ plywood for the case (plus part of a sheet of 1/4″ plywood for the back) and a small amount of solid wood.

  1. Nice project. Robert’s capabilities have been shared quite well. Good to see a quality father-son relationship.

I think I’m going to love 360WW. Nice fresh approach to the online woodworking experience.

It may just be a goof in layout, but I prefer that the reader comments be shown at the bottom of the “Today’s Free Article” page, and not on the “.pdf download page”. This makes it easier for me to follow comments as they are added.

Margy has a point about the text in the drawings being small and kind of fuzzy. The font used in the article body and below the pictures is great though.

Keep up the great work. Glad the three of you got together for such a wonderful venture.

    Thanks, Jay
