A while back I posted about a new lighting method developed by Micro Fence (along with one of it’s customers) for the company’s two plunge bases (read about it here).
This week Micro Fence opened up sales of its new light ring that features six LED lights on a printed circuit board. If you use a Micro Fence plunge base – still the most accurate router base in existence – you now have a shadow-free light source that shines right where you’re working. And it’s all done without batteries. And it fits any plunge base the company has ever made.
When you order the kit ($69.95) you get everything you need to install the light ring on your base. You get the six-LED ring, along with a 12V AC/DC adapter, four sets of self-adhering magnets for attachment, wire ties and instructions. Micro Fence also includes an alcohol wipe, too (I said everything).
There’s a bit of wiring that needs to be done before you can see the light. For more information, stop by microfence.com or click the link above.
