Measuring Moisture Content – 360w360 E.135

Moisture-MeterIn this episode of 360 with 360WoodWorking, the 360 guys discuss the necessity of measuring the moisture content of your lumber in order to compensate for potential expansion and contraction.

Join the guys twice each week for six lively minutes of discussion on everything from tools to techniques to wood selection (and more). Chuck & Glen, and sometimes a surprise guest, all have their own opinions. Sometimes they agree and sometimes they don’t, but the conversation is always information packed and lots of fun.

  1. Moisture meter. Another tool I never bought and never missed.

Great post, “Just get out there and do it”.

Truer words were never spoken Chuck.

    Thanks

    Eric

  2. There is much truth in what you say. My shop is always a lot cleaner when I am stuck in a problem and afraid to move forward.
    Thanks Don

    1. Don,

You’re never stuck – you can always email those 360 WoodWorking guys for an answer…

  3. You forget about air drying your own lumber. Not all of us go buy kiln dried lumber.
