Lubricating Your Tool – 360w360 E.154

waxes

In this episode of 360 with 360WoodWorking, the 360 guys discuss whether they use oil, wax or other lubricants on their hand and power tools.

Join the guys twice each week for six lively minutes of discussion on everything from tools to techniques to wood selection (and more). Chuck & Glen, and sometimes a surprise guest, all have their own opinions. Sometimes they agree and sometimes they don’t, but the conversation is always information packed and lots of fun.

  1. Nothing like a well lubricated tool………
    Seriously, I’m with Glen.
I use my tools frequently enough that I don’t consciously.
But, waxing the bottom of a plane does makes it easier.

I do wax the top of my table saw and bandsaw, and once in a while the jointer bed.

Down here in humid Florida, rust is the main enemy.
    And that makes waxing necessary.

    Good 360 post fellas.
