In this episode of 360 with 360WoodWorking, American Association of Woodturners (AAW) board member David Heim shares the benefits of membership to AAW, discusses an upcoming AAW event, which is held in Kansas City on June 23 – 25 in 2017, and explains what his responsibilities are as a member of the board.

Join 360 Woodworking every Thursday for a lively discussion on everything from tools to techniques to wood selection (and more). Glen talks with various guests about all things woodworking and some things that are slightly off topic. But the conversation is always information packed and lots of fun.

Membership has it’s Privileges

In late 2016 David Heim was elected to the board of directors for the American Association of Woodturners. Today he joins us to talk about what a membership to AAW brings to woodworkers, including every article published in American Woodturner, the group’s magazine, access to more than 300 instructional videos on woodturning and a discount ticket to the association’s Annual Symposium held in Kansas City in 2017. And for the next few weeks, the cost of membership is $30 annually, half the regular amount.

  1. Is there a discount code or something special for the discounted AAW membership?

I do not see the mentioned discount on the AAW website.

    1. Stephen,

Here’s a direct link provided by David Heim. Act fast. The discount is good only through the end of June. http://www.woodturner.org/default.asp?page=NewGenMembership (You may need to cut & paste the URL.)

      1. Thank you.
