As Seen On TV – Oops

Check out the photo I pulled from a television show Sunday morning. The riving knife and pawls are in place. And you gotta give them the guard being off so you can see the action. There is, however, a problem with this setup.

Do you see what’s wrong?


If you hit the blade with just the carbide out of the cut, it hurts, but it’s a cut. Hit the blade with it significantly protruding above the workpiece and you may suffer an amputation. Oops.
